About Me

Curious at heart, compassionate in practice, committed to helping people reconnect with their inner strength

Divya Raju is an intern therapist and MACP candidate offering both in-person and online therapy. She brings a rich international and multicultural perspective to her work, having completed her Master of Science in Counselling Psychology in Bangalore, India, followed by a certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS). Divya has also completed Level 1 and Level 2 trauma training for mental health professionals from SickKids Community for Mental Health, allowing her to understand and hold clients’ stories through a compassionate, trauma-informed lens.

Immigrating to Canada was a deeply challenging and transformative journey for Divya, one that strengthened her resilience, self-confidence, and empathy. Supported by her family and guided by her spiritual path, she learned firsthand what it means to navigate uncertainty, change, and growth. This lived experience continues to shape her therapeutic approach and deepens her respect for each individual’s unique narrative, cultural roots, and personal journey.

Clients may choose Divya for her genuine curiosity, open-hearted presence, and non-judgmental way of listening. She believes that every person holds the capacity for strength, independence, and healing, and she is deeply committed to walking alongside clients as they reconnect with these inner resources. Divya strives to create a safe, empowering space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported in becoming the strongest version of themselves.

Outside of therapy, Divya values physical wellness through bootcamps and HIIT, enjoys reading non-fiction and spiritual literature, finds creativity in diamond art, and feels most fulfilled spending meaningful time with her family.
