Kat is a very passionate and empathetic individual whose goal is to create a collaborative relationship with you and work alongside you to meet your unique needs. With a focus on culturally competent care, Kat practices from a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, emphasizing a psychologically safe space free from judgment. She has been trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and has a keen interest in helping those struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) or other personality disorders, such as Narcissistic Personality Disorder. She has 3 years of experience with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) running support groups for family caregivers and has helped families struggling with BPD, grief, loss, anxiety, and depression. She wants to support individuals, couples, and families with their personal and relational struggles. With a background in Biomedical sciences, she can provide a biopsychosocial lens and a neurobiological perspective to your experiences, using a blended therapeutic approach to match your goals.
