About Me

Works with Youth and Individuals

Speaks English and Tamil

Thanujaa Srithayalan is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a recent graduate of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University. With over five years of experience in the mental health field, including roles in youth work, community support, and care coordination. Thanujaa brings a deep understanding of how to build trust and walk with clients through life’s most difficult moments.
Her style is warm, compassionate, and culturally affirming. She uses a person-centered, solution-focused approach and integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Strength-Based practices to support her clients in building emotional resilience and reconnecting with their sense of self.
As a South Asian Canadian, Thanujaa understands how cultural identity, systemic barriers, and family dynamics can shape mental health. She is committed to offering a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore challenges and create meaningful change.
Outside of the therapy room, Thanujaa enjoys reading, playing sports, and spending quality time with her loved ones. These moments of joy and connection keep her grounded and remind her of the importance of balance, community, and care.
She believes healing begins with feeling seen and heard—and she is honoured to support clients as they move toward greater clarity, confidence, and well-being.
